THE SPEAR OF DESTINY
BY DIANNE MARSHALL
“The most important thing you accomplished in this text was to write a good fictional story about Longinus and his adventures. You did this by narrating how he came to be in possession of a spear that makes him do wondrous things in the name of the Lord. The way you introduce the events in his lives and the characters that are part of them are also very vividly described and makes for easy recall among your readers.
The typical reader of this manuscript will be Christians. It’s a very good read for this group because even though the book is fictional, it incorporates a lot of real people’s names, places, and events. More or less, a Da Vinci Code that is less controversial. It also has a lot of religious history in it, which would be interesting for this group. Moreover, anyone actually can enjoy the book as it is very moving (with the morals one learns from the characters’ changed lives) and very entertaining (with the adventures the characters have).
The plot of your manuscript is effective and engaging. One can follow the characters’ journeys and the changes in their lives in the story.”
The dialogue of your manuscript is realistic and engaging. There are instances that
action tags are incorporated with speaker tags, which suggest motion and
emotion, making the characters come alive for the readers.
